Start with what you can maintain
One connection is a perfectly sensible place to begin. It gives you space to learn the instructions, find a routine and understand your own way of practising. You do not need a large collection to take the subject seriously.
If you are considering several, think about time as well as cost. Can you keep their information organised? Do their described purposes make sense together? Are you choosing each one for a reason, or adding everything because you feel you might miss out?
Do a weekly reality check
Picture an ordinary week, not a holiday with unlimited free time. If you can manage ten calm minutes on a few evenings, build around that. A complicated schedule that leaves you stressed is not automatically a deeper practice.
- List the connections you already have.
- Write the purpose of the new one.
- Check whether it adds something distinct.
- Leave room to learn before adding again.
More is not a progress score
There is no need to compare your number with someone else's. A small, well-understood practice can feel more personal than a long list you rarely revisit. Let your collection grow from interest and experience, not pressure.
